Youth Online Understanding Radicalisation Survey

YOUR Survey

This is a short anonymous survey and is expected to take about 10 minutes to complete.
  • What is it about? This survey aims to find out how you can be kept safe from the serious issues of radicalisation and travel to areas of conflicts such as those happening in Syria and Iraq. We want to find out how people could willingly or unwillingly become involved in supporting or undertaking violent acts so we can be better at preventing that from happening.
  • Why am I being asked to take part?  The reason we want your help is that people often assume what young people think without asking their views. We want as many people as possible to take part across the UK so we can be better at listening and responding to you.
  • What will happen to my replies? The information you provide cannot be traced back to you and will only be used for the purpose of this survey. You will have the opportunity to contact us at the end of the survey if you want to take part in future discussions on this subject or if you would like further information.
  • What is the purpose of this survey? The results will be used to help inform the way that police and partners work with, communicate and consult with young people about these important subjects.
This is your chance to influence change and improve access to safe information for all young people.
  • Your safety is our concern The threat to your safety in this country related to conflicts abroad is a great concern and we have launched this appeal for your help through schools, colleges, universities, youth and health services, charities, clubs, organisations and campaigners to help keep our communities safe.
  • The symbol is used throughout this survey. If you put your cursor over it an explanation will become visible which we hope will help you understand the context and meaning of the questions we are asking.
Thank you for your help.
