UK Beef and Sheep statutory production regulations and cross compliance measures are robustly and rigidly inspected by RPA inspectors, Trading Standards officers (at market and on farm)DEFRA Animal Health Vets, RSPCA inspectors, as well as Farmers own vets at regular TB test and at farm visits.

5. Do you AGREE or DISAGREE with the Red Tractor Proposal :
For an animal to be reared to high welfare standards and lifetime traceability assurances to be provided, it is absolutely necessary for an animal to reside on a Red Tractor Assured farm all of its life?

6. Are you FOR or AGAINST the Red Tractor proposal/ consultation that will insist cattle can only be sold as Assured if they have resided on a Farm Assured farm for the whole of their life ?

7. Would you feel let down by Farming Organisations (NFU/NBA/NSA/FUW) if they supported the current proposal for Whole Life Assurance?

11. If Red Tractor failed to properly consult with farmers, or chose to ignore farmers views and the practicalties faced by farmers day to day, would you support a call for an alternative Beef and Lamb farmer controlled and led Assurance organisation to be developed ?

12. Do you AGREE or DISAGREE with the following statement:
Red Tractor and other farmer funded organisations should be doing more to communicate to CONSUMERS and RETAILERS about the strict standards all UK Producers are obligated to adhere to, rather than raising concerns about stock reared on the farms not subscribing to the Red Tractor Assurance Scheme.
