The purpose of this research project is to investigate the perceptions of being mindful to positive parenting. This is a dissertation research project being conducted by Melissa Gillings at University Campus Suffolk. You are invited to participate in this research project because you are a parent and your perceptions of mindfulness parenting practices will help me to indicate the possible need for wider access to positive parenting training provision.. Your participation in this research study is voluntary. You may choose not to participate. If you decide to participate in this research questionnaire, you may withdraw at any time. If you decide not to participate in this study or if you withdraw from participating at any time, you will not be penalized. I understand that the nature of the study may cause some element of personal reflection since you are being asked to talk about parenting practices, however, you will not be judged by your responses in any way and the questionnaire is completely anonymous, should you choose to proceed. The procedure involves completing an online questionnaire that will take approximately 30 minutes. Your responses will be confidential and I will not collect identifying information such as your name or email address. The 14 questions will be about practicing mindfulness in parenting. I will do my best to keep your information confidential. All data is stored in a password protected electronic format. To help protect your confidentiality, the questionnaire will not contain information that will personally identify you. The results of this study will be used for scholarly purposes only and may be shared with University Campus Suffolk representatives. The online questionnaires will be deleted automatically after one month of submission. If you have any questions about the research study, please contact m.gillings@ucs.ac.uk.
