16 Days of Activism Against Gender Based Violence: Planned Activities

Page 1

Every year Mothers' Union takes part in the global 16 Days of Activism Against Gender Violence campaign. From 25th November to 10th December, members throughout the world are involved in a range of  activities, calling for an end to all forms of violence against women and girls.

Mothers' Union campaigns against gender-based violence at all levels of society, calling on local, national and international governments and institutions to end violence against women and girls. Knowing what members are doing to raise awareness about the issue, and what experiences and issues they are facing gives weight and legitimacy when we engage, as an organisation, with national and international decision makers. This makes it much more likely that the global voice of Mothers' Union will be heard, and our goals met.

We would be grateful if you could complete this brief survey, to let us know any activities or events you may have planned for this year's 16 Days. We would love to hear about them, whatever they are, and wherever in the world you may be, and they will be useful in our global campaigning work!

If you have any questions, or would like any support or advice in planning an event or activity, please do not hesitate to contact us at: policy@mothersunion.org, or have a look at the resources which are available on the Mothers' Union website at: www.mothersunion.org
