Shaping Norfolk’s Recycling Centres: customer satisfaction survey February 2016

0%

1. Introduction

Norfolk County Council provides a network of 19 Recycling Centres. Last year they handled just over 67,000 tonnes of waste and about 74% of that was diverted from landfill.

Norfolk's Recycling Centres help to increase the county's recycling rates and reduce the amount of rubbish we throw away. This helps to save the Council money as treating and disposing of our waste is expensive and also can be damaging to the environment.

Seven Recycling Centres now offer Reuse Shops where householders can buy reusable goods for a small fee, and eight Recycling Centres offer a ‘Pay as You Throw’ service for DIY waste disposal – a low cost option for getting rid of DIY waste (DIY waste is not classed as household waste).

Many of Norfolk’s Recycling Centres have new equipment, like low level bins, making them easier for people to use. The Recycling Centres offer facilities to recycle 22 different materials from garden waste and cardboard to electrical items, batteries and light bulbs.

To help us continue to provide an efficient and value for money service in the coming years, we want to find out your views about the Recycling Centres that you use.

Even if you don’t use them, we want to hear from you so that we can understand why.

Please take part in our survey, which should take no longer than ten minutes to complete.
