Study Title:
Attachment Styles as predictors of Jealously and Partner Monitoring Behaviours within Romantic Relationships

Aim of the Research:

The research aims to extend psychological understanding of how individuals early infanthood relationships with their caregiver (generally mother or father) influences their experiences and behaviours within their romantic relationships in adulthood.

Participants:
I would like to invite all FACEBOOK users above 18-years-old who considers themselves to be "in a relationship" to complete this questionnaire. I am looking for 120 participants in total.

What you have to do:

You will complete a 10 minute questionnaire that contains 3 sections: (1) Relationship Style, (2) Jealously and Partner Monitoring Behaviours and (3) Relationship Quality. Demographic information concerning your age, gender, Facebook use and length of your current romantic relationship will also be collected.

What if there is a problem?:

For your information:
  • Please take your time and answer all questions honestly
  • Your participation is completely voluntary. If you agree to take part and complete the questionnaire, you can withdraw at any point until the questionnaire is considered complete. If you choose to withdraw, your responses will be destroyed.
  • Your responses will remain completely anonymous, confidential and unidentifiable at all stages of the research
Please Note:
  • This research meets the current British Psychological Society (BPS) Ethical Regulations and has received clearance from the Keele University School of Psychology Ethics Committee
  • Whilst every effort has been made to prevent against psychological harm, this questionnaire contains some questions that concern personal issues that some may find emotionally upsetting
  • Therefore, appropriate counselling advisory arrangements will be detailed at the end of your participation, if you wish to receive any additional support.
