Chemistry World is changing.  From January 2026 the print edition of Chemistry World will be published once every two months. This change will not only ensure that the RSC’s charitable funds are used where they will have the most impact but also help the RSC to operate more sustainably and respond to the growing popularity and use of digital and online methods to read, share and communicate information.

The new bi-monthly format brings with it changes to the editorial choices we make about what and how we cover stories in print as well as the look and feel of the magazine. We want the print magazine to complement our website, emails, podcasts and webinars to better serve our readers and give you a choice in how you want to keep up to date with what’s happening in chemistry.

To make sure we deliver the magazine you want, we’re asking for your help in guiding our decisions. We’ve prepared this short survey that introduces some of the changes we’ll be making. The survey should take 10-15 minutes to complete.

As you complete this survey, imagine you are the editor of Chemistry World. What choices would you make to produce an issue of the print magazine?
