Family History Heirloom Painting
This question requires an answer
1.
I am a final year art student and I have been asked to create a survey as part of my business plan. I am planning to create paintings/collages on the theme of family history.
The painting above is very large - 9 ft x 4 ft - an exhibition piece.
I am planning to do paintings/collages on a smaller scale as commissions. Each painting/collage will represent a family story, incorporating various elements which could include painting elements, old photos,, wedding certificates, local stories and achievements, census entries or other memorabilia, provided by the client to produce a unique, personalised work of art. A true family heirloom and conversation point.
Do you think this is a feasible idea? Please comment below if applicable *
