After Wilson dies House spirals out of control, takes excessive amounts of vicodin and possibly other substances and ultimately commits suicide
After Wilson dies House manages to just about hold it together, ultimately finding a way to get a job in a hospital or possibly research. He does not give up vicodin, at least not for a long time.
After Wilson dies House cleans up his act. He turns himself in to the police to serve whatever jail time he needs to and successfully quits vicodin.

13. A fan theory for the finale is that when the building explodes, the rest of the episode is all Wilson's hallucinations and House is actually dead. Clues for this theory are seeing House without a cane and the use of the song "Enjoy Yourself", both which are associated with hallucinations throughout the show.
