GSK is launching the first, UK-wide recycling and recovery scheme for all respiratory inhalers, enabling GSK and patients to reduce the harmful environmental impact associated with landfill disposal.  Through this scheme, all of the component materials can be recovered in a number of ways, allowing patients to breathe new life into their old inhalers. By working together with patients, pharmacies and healthcare professionals GSK aims to reduce waste and greenhouse gas emissions, moving towards a more environmentally sustainable treatment of respiratory disease. GSK is the first company in the world to set up national inhaler recycling schemes in a number of countries.

Ahead of the formal launch of this service in February 2013, GSK would really value some feedback from potential users of this service, with particular regard to our webpage (www.completethecycle.eu). We want ensure it contains all the information you might require to enable you to easily recycle your old and unwanted inhalers at a participating pharmacy.
