Welcome to the DRAFT Liverpool All Age Carers Strategy for 2025-2030
Liverpool City Council is working on the development of a new All-Age Carers Strategy for 2025-2030. Coproduction is key in ensuring the strategy is shaped by carers, for carers and so this strategy has been developed with carers’ voices at the centre, including young carers, but it’s really important we hear from you on what has been developed so far.
The aim of this consultation is to gather the views of a wide range of people on this strategy to ensure their voices are heard and that we can take account of this feedback in the final version of the strategy that will be published after consultation, later in 2025.
So, this is YOUR opportunity to influence the strategy and our vision to improve the lives of carers in Liverpool, by sharing your views on the Vision and Ambitions. The detailed actions to deliver the Strategy will be reflected in a delivery plan which we will develop in partnership with carers and stakeholders once we have concluded all the consultation.
As part of our ongoing development of this draft strategy, we would like to understand about how you – as someone who lives and/or works in Liverpool and in particular carers – view the draft strategy, and if you feel it requires any specific changes.
We are keen to hear from:
· carers - anyone who looks after a partner, friend, child or other relative who needs support because of frailty, disability, a health condition, mental health or substance misuse, where this help and support is unpaid
· anyone with previous experience of being a carer in Liverpool
· staff who work in services that have contact with carers in Liverpool
· stakeholders and partners
· and wider residents of Liverpool who may not currently be caring for another person
What happens to my views?
Information within responses will be used to ensure up to date, relevant feedback is included in the final version of this strategy. Individual comments or response themes may be included in the final version of this strategy, but no identifying information or personal details will be used or published so your comments remain anonymous.
Your data will be kept securely and destroyed as soon as the consultation is completed.
The survey should take around 10-15 minutes to complete.
