This form should be completed in support of an amendment to an existing Licence issued under either:
  • The Conservation of Habitats and Species Regulations 2017
  • The Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981
  • Protection of Badgers Act 1992
  • Invasive Alien Species (Enforcement and Permitting) Order 2019
This form enables the transfer of an existing licence issued by Natural Resources Wales from the name of the current Licensed Nominated Ecologist into the name of an alternative proposed Licensed Nominated Ecologist. It must be completed by the proposed Licensed Nominated Ecologist and must be signed by both the proposed Licensed Nominated Ecologist and the Lead Licensee in order to confirm the new appointment.

The Licensed Nominated Ecologist will act on behalf of the Lead Licensee and will be responsible for delivering specific elements of any licence granted in respect of the capture or disturbance of the species, including the overseeing of exclusion works and mitigation.
By signing this form, you are stating that you have read and understood the application form and accompanying documents that were submitted in order to obtain the licence, and that you agree to adhere to the conditions set out in the licence.

The below documents will have been submitted to the Natural Resource body for Wales known as Natural Resources Wales (NRW) as part of the original application. You need to make yourself aware of the information contained within these documents before signing this form to become the new Licensed Nominated Ecologist.
  • Application Form.
  • Method Statement, including survey information. The Method Statement will be appended as a licence condition to any licence granted.
  • Any additional information. This will be outlined in condition 3 on the licence
  • Local Planning Authority Consultation Form. If your application needed planning permission then this form will have been submitted as part of the Application.
  • A copy of any other consents that have been granted.
  • Church applications will need a signed letter to be submitted from the relevant Faculty board giving their consent to the proposed works.
