Glasgow's Liveable Neighbourhoods (LN) initiative aims to decrease the city's reliance on cars by revitalising streets into safer, more appealing environments. These spaces are designed to meet daily needs locally, prioritising active travel and public transportation.
In 2024 we asked for your opinions on the Concept Design work for LN Yorkhill to Anderston; We have taken on board your views expressed via the survey and during in-person drop-in events. Designs have been amended based on the feedback received. The scope of the project has slightly changed, and the project team will be taking forward Kent Road, Brechin Street, Claremont Street, Dover Street and Breadalbane Street at this stage.
The design is now substantially complete; however, we would still like to gather feedback on some of the finer details.
Key design elements:
· Improve outdoor public space
· Provide more crossing points across the area
· Reduce traffic speed and volume
· Prioritise people over vehicles
· Improve walking, wheeling, and cycling connectivity
· Introduce new areas of public realm
Thank you all for feeding into the design process.
This survey will take approximately 5 minutes to complete.
The deadline for completing this survey is 7th November 2025
