The Place Based Investment Programme is a Scottish Government capital fund and East Ayrshire Council are inviting applications for projects that support community led projects which are reflected in local Community Action Plans, Place Plans, community engagement activity or through other community led regeneration work.

Please refer to the associated guidance when completing this application form or if there is anything within this form you are unsure about, or you’d like to have a conversation before submitting, please do contact us at: towncentreregeneration@east-ayrshire.gov.uk

There is also a list of frequently asked questions which should clarify information which is not covered in the guidance.

You can apply for as little or as much as you like. However, before deciding how much to apply for, applicants are strongly advised to adopt a 'share the love' mind-set showing empathy, compassion, and recognising that: the fund is to deliver for all of East Ayrshire, all of its communities and intends to make as many ideas come to fruition as possible. Applications who show they have considered collaboration, partnership, and that they have adopted a share the love mind-set will be welcomed and considered favourably in the assessment process. It is up to you in your application to demonstrate this.

Community groups, public sector organisations including charities, Housing Associations, Health and Social Care Partnerships, and Council services as well as private sector organisations are welcome to apply.

Applicants should also note the following:

  • Completed project application forms must be submitted before the deadline of 31/3/24 (March 31 2024)
  • Please refer to the associated guidance when completing this application form.
  • All projects must be started or contracts in place by December 2024 with work completed by December 2025.
  • This fund is for capital work only and not revenue costs. For example the fund will not cover feasibility studies. See our frequently asked questions webpage for more info on this.
  • When completing this form we will require some additional information to be attached this may include bank statements / building warrants / planning applications / quotes etc. as this will help score the application when being assessed.
