Quality Assurance of Data Science Projects in Government
1. Introduction and some basic details
0%
The AQUA Book sets out a complete high-level framework for the quality assurance of models produced by government analysts. This is supported further by department-specific guidance for models and modelling scenarios, as well as broader documents like the Code of Practice for Statistics and the Data Ethics Framework published in the summer of 2018 by the Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport. These general frameworks provide a solid foundation, but we need to know more about the availability, coverage and completeness of guidance on the responsible deployment of models developed using data science approaches. Through this questionnaire, we would like to understand how government analysts are deploying QA for data science models, what guidance already exists and where there are needs for further development. You can fill in the questionnaire as an individual, or provide a response on behalf of an analytical team if you think that is more appropriate.
