What is this survey for?
Initial views are being sought on the on the introduction of a number of School Streets to improve safety for schoolchildren on roads outside schools during their opening and closing times. These School Streets are proposed to be enforced by Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) cameras and views on their use are also being sought.
The School Streets are being introduced under an Experimental Traffic Regulation Order (ETRO), with a further survey planned once they are in place to assess their impact.
The following short survey will only take a few minutes to complete and asks for your initial views on the proposed School Streets.
What happens to my response?
Your response will help the council decide whether any changes are needed before the School Streets are made permanent. Any personal information will be kept confidential and only viewed by the project team working on the consultation. However, relevant comments and suggestions contained in your response will be made publicly available but they will be anonymised.
Data is stored and analysed only for the purpose of this consultation and personal information will be securely destroyed once the experimental period scheme ends.
Closing date: Friday 14th August 2026
