Introduction

The Council’s Social Value Team operates the Social Value Engine (SVE) in partnership with a private consultancy called Rose Regeneration. The SVE is an accredited, online tool that can be used to put a monetary value on the intangible social benefits of any project or service delivery. Users purchase annual licences to gain secure access to the SVE and then receive full training and ongoing professional support from the Social Value Team to help them produce robust outcome-based, stakeholder-focused assessments of their activities.

As someone who is involved in procurement, the Social Value Team would like to gain an understanding of how you go about procuring a new system or product for the Council. Your input will help us refine our marketing approaches to external organisations and potentially increase our client base as well as to broaden the use of social value practice in the marketplace. We would also like to learn more about your knowledge and awareness of social value with respect to your experience in project management or as part of the procurement process. The Council uses SmartSurvey's software to create and administer the majority of its surveys. All survey responses are managed through SmartSurvey sub-processors, where data is stored securely by robust security features.
