A few notes about the policy review

Westminster has committed to reviewing the Busking and Street Entertainment policy with stakeholder groups at quarterly intervals and after one year of implementation.

The purpose of the review is to gather feedback and understand the impact of the policy and the processes that the council has introduced. It also presents an opportunity to gather ideas for potential improvements directly from our customers.

After 12 months the Policy team will collate survey responses, data and feedback and draft a formal report. The report will draw upon our learnings and provide an assessment of what has or hasn’t worked and make recommendations for improvements. All recommendations will be subject WCC governance and consultation processes.

Officers recommend the use quarterly online/smart survey to gather customer feedback. We will ask people completing the survey for their names and contact details and obtain expressed consent to contact them before discussing feedback. An option for customers to remain anonymous will also be given.

The timeline for the quarterly and yearly reviews are set out in the table below.

1st Quarterly Survey Aug 2021
2nd Quarterly Survey November 2021
3rd Quarterly Survey February 2022
4th Quarterly Survey May 2022
