Thank you for taking the time to complete our St Helens Together survey.
St Helens Borough Council is developing a strategy to set out a long-term vision for the borough, including understanding the key challenges that we face in achieving that vision, as well as exploring the collective opportunities that are available to us.
This strategy is not about the council deciding what is best for local people or how their local services should be run. This strategy will have local people at the heart of it. We want to start an ongoing conversation with you about what you think the future of our borough should look like. We want you to tell us how you want your services delivered, and we want you to play an active part in helping us achieve our shared vision. However, no borough-wide strategy can be developed without also acknowledging the huge impact that COVID-19 has had on the lives of everyone across St Helens Borough.
Recent months have been difficult for everyone. We would like to hear from you about the impact that COVID-19 has had on you and your family.
The results from our survey will help to give us a better understanding about the many different experiences that local people had and how these impact on what you think the focus for our borough should be going forward. Your responses will help to inform how we refocus resources and deliver services, as well as providing a long-term view about what our vision for the borough should be and how we will respond to the new opportunities and challenges we face.
Over the past few months, the response from local people, communities, public and private organisations and the community, faith and voluntary sector has been incredible. It shows the strength of our community spirit and just exactly what we can do when we all come together.
The survey should only take about 5-10 minutes to complete and you can enter our prize draw to be in with the chance of winning one of three £100 high street shopping vouchers.
The results will help us to build on the collaborative work that has been started, and together – resident, business, council and community – we will strive to shape a strategy and vision for the future of our borough.
