Chester Lane and Jubits Lane Active Travel Improvements

0%

We are working with a design team, Flinders Chase, to prepare designs for walking, cycling and highway improvements on Chester Lane and Jubits Lane from the Clockface junction, near Lea Green Station, to the junction of Jubits Lane, Warrington Road and Wilmere Lane at the borough border with Halton.

This route will connect with other active travel routes at Lea Green Station towards St Helens Town Centre and Rainhill.  The route will also connect to a proposed route in Halton on Wilmere Lane and Birchfield Road that could create a continuous route from Lea Green Station to Widnes Station.

These improvements form part of the region’s wider ambition to create 600km of high-quality active travel routes to better connect communities, provide a wider range of low-cost travel choices, reduce congestion and improve health.

This short survey provides a series of questions to get your views about the proposals and how transport infrastructure in the area can be improved.  The survey responses will help us improve the designs and inform decisions about implementing the project.

The questionnaire will take approximately 5 to 10 minutes to complete.

The closing date for responses is Monday 7 July 2025.

If you have any queries, please contact planningtransport@sthelens.gov.uk.

All the information received from this questionnaire will be treated in confidence and is protected under the General Data Protection Regulation (2018).  All individual responses will be treated as fully confidential and non-identifiable. Information will be held securely by St Helens Borough Council and their design consultants (Flinders Chase) and will be used solely for the purposes of the work as stated and will be destroyed 12 months after it closes.
