DfE has commissioned Research in Practice to develop practice tools and resources to support Local Authorities in getting ready to implement the new statutory guidance relating to the engagement of agency child and family social workers.  This guidance is currently out for consultation.  Research in Practice is working in partnership with Essex County Council and King's College, London on this project, which is known as the National Workload Action Group (NWAG).

Research in Practice wants to produce practice tools and resources that are relevant and useful to your organisation, and which support you to implement the new statutory guidance. 

Each Local Authority or Trust engaging agency social workers in Children's Social Care is invited to complete this questionnaire to  

• help us understand your organisation's priorities relating to implementation. 
• tell us about the existing policies, practice tools and resources you currently use and where effective practice is already taking place (if you provide information about this, we may contact you to discuss further)
• let us know if you would find it helpful for Research in Practice to set up a regular 'drop-in' meeting for people involved in your organisation in implementing the statutory guidance to discuss 'implementation'
