A European group of researchers, together with industry, Coeliac UK and the Dutch Celiac Society are working together to initiate a large project to improve our understanding and treatment of coeliac disease.
An essential part of the project will be the generation of a model that uses information from individuals with coeliac disease to predict who will develop coeliac disease, who will respond well to the gluten free diet, what interventions may be useful for certain individuals and to provide better ways of diagnosing coeliac disease.
The research group proposes to use artificial intelligence to generate the model. Artificial intelligence can be described as a computer system that uses information to learn and to recognize patterns independently, without human interference. In this survey we would like to ask you how you feel about the use of artificial intelligence in the prediction of outcomes for people with coeliac disease and the generation of recommendations for treatments for coeliac disease.
For some questions there is the option to provide any comments if you would like to do so.
This questionnaire is intended for people diagnosed with coeliac disease aged 16 years and over.
All results will be collated and reported anonymously. You can read Coeliac UK’s full privacy policy on the
website.
