Co-operate has been a unique tool in communities across the UK, helping local communities connect through groups and events and supporting Co-op members to offer their time to volunteer. It has had real impact, in particular through the pandemic when so many groups used Co-operate to mobilise volunteers and to promote the move to online activity.
More recently however, we've found that there has been less involvement by groups in Co-operate, with a large number of online spaces now available to help local community groups connect with their communities and local supporters. Co-op are also looking to develop greater connection with Co-op members locally, helping our member-owners to participate in their Co-op.
So, we're going to close Co-operate whilst we are creating an exciting new local community solution coming later this year and which members are already helping us to develop.
Our new online space will see members being able to connect with each other, with their local Member Activators and their local National Members' Council representatives more easily.
If you'd like to make any suggestions of what you would like to see us deliver, or have any reflections on how Co-operate has helped you or your group please click Next Page below to tell us more. We'd love to hear from you.
Thanks again for supporting Co-operate and we look forward to launching our new space later in 2025.
