Introduction to the survey

The Directorate-General for Justice of the European Commission has commissioned Timelex to undertake a survey on how the current standard contractual clauses for the transfer of personal data to non-adequate countries outside the EEA (SCCs) are perceived in practice.

The output of this survey will support the assessment of SCCs as a tool for international data transfers under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) with a view to their modification or replacement (to better meet the practical needs of the SCCs' users and in order to make the SCCs GDPR compliant).

This survey is targeted at organisations having SCCs in place.

The aim of the survey is to gain more insight in:
  1. How the SCCs are currently used in practice,
  2. The expectations and needs of the stakeholders regarding SCCs.
The survey takes approximately 15-20 minutes.

If your answers relate to multiple SCCs, please indicate this below in the comment section.
