Confidentiality and data protection

This form and the processing of personal data that it entails is necessary for the exercise of our functions as a government department. If your answers contain any information that allows you to be identified, DfT will, under data protection law, be the controller for this information.

As part of this form, we're asking for the name of your organisation and contact details (name and email) for a representative of your organisation. The department is requesting this information so that it can inform applicants of its decisions regarding the outcome of applications, inform successful applicants of any changes to the way that the scheme is to be designed or administered, plus give successful applicants notice that accreditations are close to expiry.

We are asking for information about the type of services you provide, including the modes of transport you provide, the regions in which you operate and an approximate size of your organisation (measured in terms of an estimate of your number of employees). The department is requesting this information to ensure it is aware of and able to address any under-representation of organisations in the Inclusive Transport Leaders Scheme according to the mode of transport they provide, the regions in which they operate or their size.

DfT's privacy policy has more information about your rights in relation to your personal data, how to complain and how to contact the Data Protection Officer.

Other than where asked to provide individual contact details do not include, in your examples, information that could allow individuals to be identified.

Your information will be kept securely for the lifetime of the Inclusive Transport Leaders Scheme project. This is to ensure that users are able to refer to their prior submissions when re-applying for accreditation. Your information will be destroyed within 12 months of the closure of the Inclusive Transport Leaders Scheme project.
