Have your say on the future Police and Fire Stations in Malton
David Skaith, the Mayor for York and North Yorkshire, is responsible for making decisions about the buildings used by North Yorkshire Police and North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service. As part of his wider commitment to make York and North Yorkshire safe for everyone he’s reviewing the areas of the estate in need of urgent investment.
Currently the two emergency services operate from separate stations in Malton and both buildings are no longer fit for purpose. We are seeking your views on whether to move forward with specialist survey work to explore the potential to build a new, joint Police and Fire station in Malton.
No decisions have been made yet. Responses to this consultation will be carefully considered alongside all other evidence before making a final decision.
We want to hear from members of the public, businesses and community organisations, partners and employees of North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service and North Yorkshire Police. To give your feedback, please complete this questionnaire by 10am on Wednesday 1st of July 2026. It should take no longer than 10 minutes.
