IDR survey of maternity, paternity and parental leave 2026

1. Welcome

Support for new parents remains an important attraction and retention tool, with many employers continuing to expand their maternity, paternity and shared parental pay provision to gain a competitive advantage in the labour market. Our latest research into this topic will provide detailed insights into the extent to which organisations improve on statutory entitlements and how they do so. The survey also looks at parental leave, carer's leave and flexible working and fertility support.

Participants in this survey will receive a free summary of the findings as a ‘thank you’ for taking part, providing valuable benchmarking information for this important aspect of reward. We are keen to hear from you, even if you currently only offer the statutory terms.

Please complete the survey as fully as possible by Friday 29 May. While we will publish a list of participants, none of the data will be directly attributed to individual respondents. If you have any questions, or would like a Word version of the survey, please contact me at the email below.

Thank you as always for supporting our research.
