1. Welcome

Welcome to IDR's 2026 survey on pay for project management roles.

Employing staff to manage important projects can be vital to the success of these projects and the success of the business more broadly. Getting salaries right for these roles will affect your ability to recruit, retain and motivate such staff, and could well affect project outcomes. Completing this survey will help you do just that.

This survey is being undertaken by Incomes Data Research (IDR), the independent pay research organisation, and aims to collect data on pay and conditions for project management roles, as well as gather insights as to the state of the labour market for this job family.

As a 'thank you' for taking part we will send you a free summary report of the results from our analysis, which we hope will provide valuable insights.

The survey can be filled out in more than one sitting by clicking 'Save and Continue Later' at the bottom of any page and a link will be sent to you to allow you to edit your responses until the survey closes. If you wish, you can print your responses to review offline at the end of the survey by selecting 'print response'. The survey closes at 5pm on Wednesday 21 October 2026.

If you have any questions, or would like a hard copy of the survey, please do not hesitate to contact me.
