Would you like to play a role in the selection of the next faces of the UK Young Academy? Support the Membership Selection Committee in their decision as a Supporting Reviewer.
By expressing your interest in this role, you will be added to a pool of contacts who may be called upon to assist with reviewing and scoring a small number of membership applications (between 10 - 20) to the UK Young Academy. Applicants have been advised to write their application in a generalist way, and applications contain a mix of free text and multiple choice questions and a short 3-minute video. Reviewers will be asked to score each application in three selection criteria, and provide comments to support their score and a short piece of feedback for use if the applicant is unsuccessful.
Not everyone who expresses interest will be called upon to undertake reviews, with selection dependent on the final number of applications received and the applicants’ area of work. If called upon, Supporting Reviewers must be able to commit to completing their reviews during the scoring period between September to early November 2025
