Impact on the Welsh language (Cymraeg)

The Draft Transformation Strategy sets out high level aims and objectives.   It is not intended to provide details of all the service changes it will deliver.   As such it is considered that the Strategy itself will have a neutral impact on Cymraeg (Welsh language).

By law Flintshire County Council has to offer the services it delivers equally in both Cymraeg and English.

When reviewing or changing existing services, or when planning to introduce new services, the council must consider whether there would be any negative, neutral or positive impacts on Cymraeg - either directly or indirectly - and if necessary identify how any potential negative impacts will be addressed.

The council is confident that individual projects arising out of its new Transformation Strategy will be subject to impact assessments that will ensure Cymraeg is considered and treated equally alongside English.
