UK-Japan Workshop on Nonlinear PDEs (30 Jun-4 Jul 2025)- public application

A limited number of places remain available for Early Career Researchers and PhD students to participate in the workshop. Applications close on Monday, 17 March 2025 and late applications will not be considered. Successful applicants, notified by the ICMS, will be required to pay a £150 registration fee. Limited funding is available for UK-based PhD students without alternative financial support (e.g., from Doctoral Training Awards) towards accommodation and travel costs.

An ECR is an individual who is within eight years of the award of their PhD or equivalent professional training, or an individual who is within six years of their first academic appointment. These durations exclude any period of career break, e.g. for family care or health reasons. *

Limited funds are available to support accommodation and travel costs of PhD students studying at universities in the UK, who do not have other means of support (eg from their Doctoral Training Awards). We may contact your supervisor if we need further information, all applications will be reviewed on a case by case basis.

For travel support, please provide details of your itinerary and estimated travel costs within the UK. The ICMS typically caps UK travel subsidy at £150.

The maximum nights can only be 5 nights and single occupancy only. If you wish additional occupancy; additional nights or different dates, you will be required to book your own accommodation.  *
