Introduction

The council’s proposal for consultation, is to close Stockton Heath Community Recycling Centre.

The council has well-documented financial challenges, with a £178m gap up to 2029/30. It therefore needs to focus on providing the best services possible, within available budget.  While the council has set out its preferred option to consult with people on, it remains open to other suggestions, alternatives and delivery models that have not already been considered.  We therefore welcome any feedback you provide as part of the consultation.
