1. ONLINE Exploring Engineering - Designing for Deep Space: Ariel's Amazing Engineering

To celebrate Tomorrow's Engineers Week, we are holding "Exploring Engineering", for students aged 11-14.  We do hope you'll be able to join us online for a fascinating and engaging talk and show about the cryogenic engineering of Ariel, a space mission that will be hunting for planets orbiting other stars.  With the aid of some liquid nitrogen, we'll explore the science of the very cold, and discover the amazing engineering that allows us to explore our Universe.  The talk will run on Friday 13 November from 13:10-14:10 online, via Zoom webinar.

Please complete this form if you would like to join us online for these talks - or join the waiting list for an in-person event (including the show as well as hands-on activities and tours of our facilities), which will take place at the Rutherford Appleton Laboratory (OX11 0QX) from 10:00 - 14:30.

If you have any questions, please let us know at visitral@stfc.ac.uk.
