Powys Teaching Health Board holds Staff Excellence Awards each year to recognize the outstanding achievements of its staff and to help share best practice with colleagues.

This year our Staff Excellence Awards will be delayed because of coronavirus COVID-19.

However, our Staff Excellence Awards includes our 'Powys Stars Award', which is nominated by members of the public. This category allows the public to nominate people who, in your view, have gone the extra mile to ensure the best possible health and health care in Powys.

During Coronavirus COVID-19 we are hearing so many special stories of staff, volunteers and community support going an extra million miles for the NHS. So we are keeping nominations open for the foreseeable future so that you can let us know about special people who have helped you.

You can nominate either an individual or a team for an award. They should EITHER work within the NHS in Powys (member of staff or volunteer) OR they could be someone from the local community, business etc. who has done something special to Stay Home, Protect the NHS, Save Lives and to Keep Powys Safe.

Nominations will remain open for the time being. We will then take time to on how best to thank and celebrate these special people.
