What is the purpose of the study?
My research project focuses on human communicative interaction through mobile devices. The principal idea is to shed some light on the new practices around digital technologies. Specifically, this project aims to research the preferences that people have when they are using digital applications with their personal mobile devices. In other words, I want to observe how people who are not co-present hold a conversation through these applications. The survey is focused on questions about the multimedia sharing options of mobile devices. That is, in what situation and for what reasons users prefer to use photographs and/or videos during a chat conversation. Knowing your opinion and preferences will be an important help to my research

Why have I been invited to take part?
Any person who uses a mobile device and is in the age range between 21 and 59 years old is invited to complete this survey. If you are younger than 21 years or older than 59 years, please do not answer this questionnaire.
Do I have to take part?
Participation is voluntary. You do not have to take part. You should read this information sheet and if you have any questions you should send me an e-mail. You should not agree to take part in this research until you have had all your questions answered sathisfactorily.
What will happen to me if I take part?
Absolutely nothing. No personal information is requested, with the exception of your age range and gender. For this reason, you have nothing to worry about, every answer to the survey is completely anonymous. Furthermore, the survey just asks for preferences and will not take more than 10 to 20 minutes of your time.
What are the possible risks of taking part?
There is no risk in participating in this survey, every answer is anonymous and no personal data is requested.
Will my taking part be kept confidential?
As it was stated before, the survey is completely anonymous.
What will happen to the results of the study?
The results will be part of the analysis section in my dissertation project.
