Practice Boundary Change: We need your views
Proposed Change to Practice Boundary
The Grange Group Practice would like to apply to NHS Greater Huddersfield Clinical Commissioning Group (GHCCG) who buy (commission) health care for local people to change the current boundary of the practice.

If the proposal is approved it will mean that the practice is not able to register any new patients who live outside the new boundary. Patients currently registered with the practice who live outside the boundary will remain with the practice.  The areas that would fall outside the boundary would be:
HD3 Edgerton, HD5 Colne Bridge and HD6 Rastrick and Brighouse.

By changing the size of our boundary we feel we can better meet the needs of all our patients. Many of the people that we currently  care for have very specific needs. Reducing the number of patients we can have registered at our practice will give us focus to work together with these patients and their families so that they can receive the best care possible by having their complex needs met.
We also hope that a change in our boundary will attract GPs to take permanent roles in this area, something which have found difficult in the last few years.
What is a practice boundary?
The local area a GP practice covers is called a boundary.  Sometimes a practice may decrease or increase a boundary to manage patient numbers.
