This questionnaire should take approximately 20 minutes to complete. The survey is part of a PhD research project investigating the impacts of large-scale tree planting on the values people hold for planted areas, and the benefits they receive from them. We also aim to understand how this is affected by your views and perceptions of the existing landscape. This will help provide recommendations for future tree planting projects. We believe your opinion is important as a person who lives near a tree planting site.

- Your participation is voluntary and you are free to stop the questionnaire at any time. If you have provided your contact details, you are free to withdraw your data from this study. Please contact the researcher no later than two weeks after taking part.
- Your personal data is confidential. It will be stored in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation, the Data Protection Act 2018 and University of Gloucestershire’s data protection policy. Your data will be deleted on the 1/7/2033 to enable a potential 10-year follow-up survey.
- Your responses will remain anonymous outside the research team and will be analysed and reported in combination with those of other participants. We are legally obliged to ensure that you will remain unidentifiable in any outputs from the project.
