This survey is being conducted by Skills for Care on behalf of the Adult Care Trailblazer Group.

New Apprenticeship standards and their assessment plans in Adult Care have been approved by ministers on 21 July 2016. You can view the standards on the government website.

As with all new Apprenticeship standards, the key new aspect is the introduction of a range of end-point tests which must be carried out by an organisation independent of the apprentice's learning provider. Applications are now open for organisations to apply to join the Skills Funding Agency's Register of Apprenticeship Assessment Organisations, a mandatory requirement.

Those who make successful applications will create their own versions of the end-point tests. These will be based on a specification approved by the Adult Care Apprenticeship Board with the assistance of Skills for Care.

This consultation is designed to give potential end-point assessors the chance to comment on the structure of the specification.

There are two types of end-point test which will be used for all four standards: the Situational Judgement and the Professional Discussion. In addition, for Lead Practitioner in Adult Care and Leader in Adult Care there will also be an Action Research Project.

This survey will take you between 15-30 minutes to complete. Your views are greatly appreciated!
