Macmillan Improving the Cancer Journey (ICJ) is a service which is being developed by the Scottish Borders Health and Social Care Partnership in conjunction with local residents of the Borders for people diagnosed with cancer.

The service will offer people an appointment with an ICJ Worker to complete a holistic assessment to discuss "what matters to you" in their cancer journey. The aim of the service is to help those affected by cancer to access appropriate sources of support for all their non-clinical needs – physical, practical, emotional, family, or spiritual.

The service for Borders is currently being designed with the involvement of the local community. It aims to build on the other services already available from Oncology such as the Single Point of Contact. Your input is vital to help us shape a service that will best support those living in Borders with their concerns at its heart.

This survey is for people who have an experience of cancer, as well as for their families and carers.
