1. Online peer support - Let us know what you think
Page 1 of 2

We plan to pilot a new online peer support group which will provide a safe space for anyone with a visible difference who wishes to share experiences and meet with others with appearance-related concerns. Before we go ahead with this trial we would like to ask potential users what's most important to help us shape the design of this service.

We propose the group will:
  • Consist of 8 sessions
  • Offer a combination of topic-based discussions and a general space for you to talk about anything that's on your mind and get to know each other.
  • Explore a specific appearance-related issue at each session,  including confidence and self-esteem, managing negative thoughts, anxiety, coping with negative reactions from others, social communication, life and relationships
  • Be facilitated by a member of staff
  • Run via a live chatroom on the Changing Faces website during a designated time every one or two weeks

Please let us know your thoughts by completing our short survey. It should only take a few minutes - Thank you!
