Sight Village - Let's Talk

In order for us to evaluate whether hosting a Sight Village event at Queen Alexandra College in Birmingham, October this year would be feasible, we would like to find out your views and would ask you to answer the following three questions.  

Hosting such an event will depend upon Government restrictions around group meetings being relaxed and below is the outline of our plans - some will change as the Government changes guidelines and we will always keep you informed of any changes we make.

To reassure you, the health and safety of you as visitors, our staff, volunteers and exhibitors is paramount to us and we stress that social distancing guidelines will be strictly adhered to at all times.

The event will be smaller than our usual events as we will limit the amount of people on campus at any one time and there will be a smaller number of exhibitors in attendance - probably no more than 15-20.  Pre-registration will be compulsory via eventbrite or by email/telephone and entrance will be time allocated.  Members of the Sight Village team will be on hand to assist small groups of people to navigate the event and ensure social distancing is adhered to.  The team will be wearing PPE for your and their safety.

Exhibitors will have a larger area than normal to facilitate appropriate distancing.  They may also be required to wear PPE.  In addition, we will require them to sanitise their demonstration products and stand area after each visitor.

There will be a one way system in operation across the entire event with sanitation stations placed at various points which you will be encouraged to use at every point.  

We may require you to wear a mask or visor - this will depend on Government regulations, and infection rates at the time.
