Spelthorne Borough Council is exploring the potential redevelopment of part of Memorial Gardens in Staines-upon-Thames, with plans to install a multi-use games area (MUGA) on the green next to the Riverside Car Park.
The proposal would be for the MUGA to be managed on a semi-informal basis, with access gates opened and closed in line with the borough’s park gates.

Earlier this year, we sought feedback on a proposal to install a playground on the site formerly occupied by the Five Swimmers sculpture in Memorial Gardens. Feedback from that survey is currently under review. The MUGA project is a separate proposal.
