100 Shelthorpe Stories

0%

2026 marks 100 years of the Shelthorpe estate in Loughborough. It was established by the Loughborough Corporation in 1926 and was designated a conservation area in 1976.

Shelthorpe remains full of life, pride and stories – and the Council would love you to be part of the celebration.

The ‘Celebrating Shelthorpe 100’ initiative aims to honour the estate’s history while revitalising the community through workshops, storytelling sessions, and creative activities.

Residents are invited to share their stories and photographs to help capture the rich history and memories of Shelthorpe. The Council will be building a community archive with submissions from past and present residents.

Get involved; share your story, and join us as we celebrate 100 years of Shelthorpe.

Thank you for your time.
