1. Who we are: Great Yarmouth Borough Council is carrying out this survey on behalf of Broadland District Council (BDC), Great Yarmouth Borough Council (GYBC), the Borough Council of King’s Lynn & West Norfolk (KLWN), North Norfolk District Council (NNDC), Norwich City Council (NCC), and South Norfolk Council (SNC). GYBC is Data Controller in respect of the responses it receives on behalf of all four Councils and remains the sole Controller in respect of data regarding businesses in the GYBC area. Data relating to businesses located within the districts of BDC, KLWN, NNDC, NCC and SNC is transferred securely to those individual Councils, who then become the joint Data Controller of the data, alongside GYBC.
2. How we use your information: The Council that covers the area that your business is located in will use your personal information for the purposes of supporting your business during the Coronavirus pandemic. In addition, GYBC uses this data to determine which Council covers the area your business is located in, in order to transfer your completed survey to your Council. The data is lawfully processed with your consent (as defined under Article 6(1)(a) of UK General Data Protection Regulations (UK GDPR) and in line with the General Data Protection Regulations (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.
3. Data Sharing: The data you provide in this survey will only be shared with other organisations as outlined in Section 1 to ensure that your local Council receives your completed survey. Anonymised data will be shared with Local Government, Central Government and the New Anglia Local Enterprise Partnership for the purposes outlined in Section 2.
4. Retention: Your information will be kept strictly confidential and will be stored securely by the Councils. Your data will be held for a maximum of 36 months from 15 January 2021, after which time it will be securely deleted.
