About QI Expert
The Quality Improvement Expert (QI level 3) is for GOSH staff who have previous improvement project experience and are ready to dive deeper into QI theory and apply it rigorously to a project over one year. Delegates will bring a QI project idea to life over the duration of the programme. This course is RCPCH CPD accredited.
The course has 3 components:
- 8 face-to-face half-day classroom and workshop based learning over the course of one year.
- On-the-job project implementation.
- A celebration event to present your work at the end of the year.
Topics covered:
- Improvement theory/frameworks: Systems thinking, lean, human factors, demand and capacity, model for improvement.
- QI tools: Advanced data for improvement, change management, options appraisal, implementation strategies and more.
- Workshops: Delegates apply QI theory and tools to their own projects.
