Welcome to our stage two consultation about creating a parish council for Tamworth.
A parish council is made up of elected representatives from the local community. This means decisions about services and projects would be made by Tamworth residents who are elected to represent local people.
Parish councils can take direct responsibility for a range of local services and amenities, such as parks, community centres, events, allotments, and street cleaning.
For Tamworth, we’re considering creating a parish council for the whole of the Tamworth borough.
