The NHS College of Leadership and Management has been created to be the national home for NHS leadership, management and talent excellence. The College exists to support the NHS by helping current and future NHS leaders and managers from all backgrounds to ‘step in, step onwards and step up’ – from aspiring first-time managers to executive leaders, in both clinical and non-clinical roles.

The College builds on the foundations of the NHS Leadership Academy, regional and local academies, professional bodies and existing leadership communities. It will help strengthen professional identity, support learning and career development, improve talent management, and provide a recognised quality mark for leadership and management excellence.

The College has made a key commitment to ‘serve the service’ and we would like your help to establish ourselves to do that.

We are currently developing our plans for the first three years and for future years, alongside our College identity and how we will engage with you and your colleagues.  This questionnaire provides an opportunity for all leaders and managers, NHS staff and the wider community to share your thoughts and help us shape how we will deliver for you.

The questionnaire is fully confidential and will take approximately 5-10 minutes to complete, depending on the level of detail you choose to provide. Feedback will be analysed by our research, evaluation and insights team and will be aggregated and summarised. We may include non-identifiable quotes in our report based on your text responses.

Privacy and consent notice – no personal, identifiable data (PID) will be collected as part of your responses to this questionnaire. If you have any questions about the questionnaire, you can contact england.talentinsights@nhs.net. Please use the heading College Engagement Questionnaire in your email.

NHS England will be data controller for any information you provide. NHS England's Data Protection Officer can be reached at england.dpo@nhs.net which can be contacted in regard to enacting data subject rights. Processing of the data falls under NHS England’s statutory duties under section 23 of the Health and Social Care Act 2012.
