From 1 October 2022, Primary Care Networks (PCNs) will be required to provide Enhanced Access to GP practices outside of normal working hours. These services are provided by practices, over and above the core 8am- 6pm contract.

PCNs are groups of GP Practices working together as a network, in which they are commissioned to deliver Enhanced Services.

Patients across Norfolk are invited to give their views to ensure the new service meets the needs of the local population and communities we serve. As part of the survey, we are asking patients to give their views on how likely they would be to use appointments in the mornings, evenings and at weekends as well as the type of services they’d like to see at these times.

We will use this feedback alongside national guidance to help look at expanding the number of appointments, services, and the times of day that these can happen in practices across Norfolk and Waveney. Once we have done this, we will confirm what we have and equally, haven’t been able to accommodate as part of this new offer.

The survey should take no longer than ten minutes of your time and it is completely anonymised.

Your thoughts, views and input is very important to us and will be used to directly inform local health and care service development.
