Planned workshops:

Coaching for Inclusive Teaching
An opportunity to explore the IOP’s revised Top Tips for Inclusive Teaching so more students feel they belong in science/physics. We’ll be discussing lots of practical ways to implement the tips that you’ll be able to share with other teachers. Printed versions will be supplied but you can get a look in advance:

Supporting your department with Circuits practicals
Time and again teachers struggle to get the key concepts about circuits over to their students. We'll be looking at approaches which boost the confidence of colleagues, no matter what their specialism, to give a good foundation at KS3 for the progression of students through GCSE.

Maths in Physics - a Department Approach
This session will explore how students can be better supported to develop their maths skills, or transfer their confidence from maths lessons into their physics thinking.

To book a place at this IOP-led event, please complete the form below. Your details will be used to send you more details of the developing programme, as well as opportunities to take part in the TeachMeet and other sessions if you wish (please check your spam folders). Your information will not be added to any IOP mailing list, but we would invite you to join our professional community of physics teaching; a link will be shared when you have completed your booking.
