1. Welcome to the BCS Computing Teacher Training Scholarship Application Process

When completing this online form you will be required to supply your personal details and information regarding your academic achievements. You will also be asked to answer questions about what has inspired you, your knowledge of the computing curriculum, your experience, qualities needed to be a successful teacher and types of schools. You will have 150 - 250 words for each answer and we recommended that you include as much information as possible in these, as they form the initial assessment for your scholarship application.

 

If you are successful in this first stage of the application, you will be asked to produce a 15 minute video of you delivering a lesson on a specific area of the Key Stage 3 or Key Stage 4 curriculum.  We will let you know the topic on which to present and you will also receive full details of what is expected, together with templates to help you plan the lesson.


Entry requirements for the BCS Scholarship Programme can be found on our website . To apply for a BCS Scholarship you must:

1. Hold a Computer Science or related degree with a proven or predicted grade of a 2:1 or above by September 2026.*

2. Be eligible for Student Finance

3. Reside in the UK

4. Plan to take an ITT course in England

 

*We may consider applicants with a degree grade of 2:2 if they can show that they have significant relevant experience and subject knowledge.
